He probably saw an avalanche of controversy coming from that if he didn't leave. It happened, but not on Steam which I think he wanted to avoid.

How many hours to completion? Is it buggy or well developed? Is the story complete and makes sense?
I have over 2 dozen hours in the game, and 2/3rds of the achievements. I have played through it twice. I intend to play at least until I get all the achievements. I am expecting 40 hrs.

To see everything it will require multiple play throughs due to story forks and multiple endings. Time to complete depends on your definition of complete and play style. However, it was not meant to be a short game.
It is not buggy but needs polishing. Dialogue in English is a translation and needs work in places. The story is complete, The developers have promised an update which would flesh out some branches and add scenes. I hope they do.

I think that if you take a close look at the game you have purchased you will be pleasantly surprised. The high quality visuals are often used to convey thought and inner struggle through facial expressions interwoven with dialogue and actions. All while trying to keep this playable on a 12 year old laptop is not easy. While the game never steps away from being an AVN, I believe you will find it a superior one.

I'll be honest: no offense to Zerat, but I'd never buy this game normally. Not because it offends me in any way, but just because it appears to be yet another "pose some models and crank out a VN" game, of which there are hundreds on Itch, none very impressive. But now I am buying, and paying double.

I think that if you take a close look at the game you have purchased you will be pleasantly surprised. The high quality visuals are often used to convey thought and inner struggle through facial expressions interwoven with dialogue and actions. All while trying to keep this playable on a 12 year old laptop is not easy. While the game never steps away from being an AVN, I believe you will find it a superior one.
I fully support creative freedom and, above all, individual freedom. These censors are nothing but bitter scum who think they have the right to cut off people's freedoms just because something offends them. I will always stand for freedom, even if I don’t personally agree with the content. Because creative freedom is about accepting and respecting the right of others to create, regardless of your personal taste. That’s the foundation of any truly free society.
These people see themselves as the Morality Police, dictating what can and cannot be said, read, or created. And they do this because that’s exactly what they are: fascists disguised as virtue, obsessed with forcing their worldview through censorship and prohibition. I can imagine these people would ban books like Fifty Shades of Grey, censor paintings like Goya’s The Nude Maja, and burn anything that doesn’t align with their narrow vision of the world. i'm nonbinary & neutral/fem presenting. but besides online ppl, a few irls & one family member, no one knows. so i'm living my life as a woman in society.
AND most importantly, i'm a child sexual assault and rape survivor.
AND i have many sexual fantasies/kinks that aren't conventional. domination (whether i'm the one dominated or not) & rape are part of them. YET i would NEVER act on them because some are just morally WRONG and i'm well aware of that. they're only FANTASIES i don't wish to reproduce irl. i know from first-hand experience how much these things can break you.
that trauma changed me forever, maybe i wouldn't have liked such content without it, maybe i still would have. that's not important: at the end of the day, watching/reading/playing/writing fictional content that includes those kinks allows me to :
- accept my sexuality & learn more about it
- HEAL myself by gaining CONTROL over my trauma.
there are HUNDREDS scientific studies proving that having kinks & paraphilias isn't a bad thing (whether you went through sexual trauma OR NOT), and that fictional content is a safe way to experience them (and regain control if you've been a victim). my therapist confirmed that. but people are craving validation, and act self-righteous online.
my stance on this is that people can enjoy fictional content like this even if they haven't been victims as long as they don't hurt anyone. which is more often than not the case.
the era we're living in right now is downright scary — fascism is knocking at our doors, but many people who claim to be anti-fascist and so on still don't recognize how it manifests. they don't or refuse to understand that supporting the censorship of fictional AND unrelated-to-real-events content is actually right-wing & fascist. one honest look at recent history would be enough to understand that, but people are not ready to have an actual conversation on sexual abuse/rape, and overall, sexuality.

Uh, we are not left wing. We are not right wing. We come from different places. We are not defending the game in the name of a political party. We are against censorship and immature thinking. Both left moralists and right traditionalists are to blame in these matters. In the case of this game, it's the left wing moralist that seem to be more triggered, since the news the game made became viral in social activists groups and woke gaming outlets.
